Today is the last day of coming in 12-1 for the kids eat free offer. This is available for all children- not just those of families on universal credit, not only those on social services care- what ever the situation there will be no questions asked, no proof to provide and most importantly no judgement. OYSTERS FISH AND CHIPS ARE HIRING. We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and bubbly individual looking for a career within the fish and chip catering trade. Please apply if you have:... No experience but are driven and willing to learn a skill , we can offer full training on the job. And you’ll be based on minimum wage whilst in training. So great for a college leaver looking for full time work. And also : For a Fryer/Cook who has Worked in the fish and chip trade or within the food industry for minimum 3 years so your ready to go with a weeks basic training . Salary negotiable depending on experience. You will be working as part of a Team so working well with others is a must and you will also be in the eye of customers so a professional appearance will be needed as well as a people skills & customer orientated confident personality. This is a full time position of 5 days a week including Saturdays. Sundays will be a guaranteed day off along with another week day. The hours are based on shifts which covers the lunchtime (9.30am to 2.00pm) serving and evening serving (4.00pm to 9.45pm) You must be physically fit as the job will include prepping chips from 25kg bags of potatoes as we prepare fresh chips onsite daily. We also have a 2 bedroom flat above the shop to offer if any family accommodation is needed in which rent can be discussed separately. Here at Oysters we in-conjunction with Martin Wills Potatoes, Weat Sussex do our utmost best to make sure we obtain the best Potatos possible . There’re about 100 varieties of potato grown in the UK, yet you wouldn’t know it Which means a bit of spud-hunting is in order. potatoes are more or less available all year round, but some varieties less commonly planted than others might not be on the shelves for long, and can vary on quality depending on the time of year.... All potato types are high in carbohydrates and contain a moderate amount of calories as well as healthy amounts of fiber, vitamins and minerals. The kind of potatoes that may be the healthiest are those with darker-colored flesh and what we use at Oysters Fish & Chips - Maris Pipers and Agria. TODAY we start ‘New Potatos’ the first of 2020 Crop and are super excited . They have a high starch content and naturally cook darker but taste creamy and slightly sweet. The freshly-harvested small spuds with skin so thin you can rub it off with your finger and are in season from July - September New Potatos (Left) Agria (Right) Come try some today.

As everyone is coming out the other side and trying to return to some normality- we at oysters going forward please ask that you continue to use our app as your new normal. Because we still are not allowed more than 2 customers within the shop it is becoming difficult to serve walk in customers as your food is not instantly ready and then trying to place you with your order when it is ready is hard as you are outside waiting not inside and trying to pin point one customer ou...t of a sea of people in the car park is tricky and my staff hate having to yell out the door! Our app is very simple to use, you will then have minimal waiting time (where as walk ins will be up to 15mins at busy spells) and you can get back home quickly out of the rain to enjoy your hot freshly prepared meals. Here at ‘Oysters Fish & Chips’ we pride ourselves on the quality of our freshly prepared food . We liaise throughout the Year with our Fish Merchants and Potato suppliers to obtain the best raw materials . We are awaiting NEWS Potatos as they are being picked now and not earlier due to Coronavirus. They take a couple of weeks to loose all their moisture and are sweet to the taste . All this effort is supplemented by our hygiene policy and especially now more than ever the c...ontinuous sanitising of work surfaces , counters and machinery . We at Oysters pride ourselves as we have obtained and upheld County Council 5 Star Rating. Nevertheless we Steam Clean our Potato Rumbler and Chipper with over 100c heat to maintain the highest if standards in Food Prep .
